Quality Control Testing
We have our own laboratory, one of the best equipped laboratories in the packaging sector in India. We are equipped with advanced testing equipment such as Digital GSM Reader, Digital and Automatic Bursting Tester for Paper, Digital and Automatic Bursting Tester for Boards, Computer Operated Crush Tester (for ECT, FCT, RCT etc) and Computer Operated Box Compression Tester. Our equipment design and quality is in line with TAPPI international standards – enabling us to provide a world-class service to our customers.The QA laboratory tests the quality of raw materials, semi finished products and ultimately the finished packaging.
We perform Ring Crush Test (RCT) for papers, Edgewise Crush Test (ECT) and Flat Crush Test (FCT) for corrugated boards and Compression Strength Test for the boxes (BCT). The laboratory also performs tests for water absorption (Cobb Test) for paper and corrugated boards.We select the raw material in accordance with the user requirements in such a way to optimize the appropriate physical properties and minimum weight of the manufactured packaging in order to satisfy our customers both in terms of the quality and the price of the product.We are certified for ISO 9001 : 2008 Quality Management System, by SGS an assurance of the consistent quality of our product. As a continual improvement and focusing towards eco-friendly operations, now we are implementing the Environmental Management Systems and aiming for the ISO 14001 certification shortly. We adopt an integrated system of management covering Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems. The road for growth at Star Boxes never ends… we are looking at improving ourselves by focusing on Information Security and Social Accountability as well. We are conscious that we cater to our customers who are using our products as their protective package for dispatch of their product to various parts of the globe. We furnish compliance certificates and declarations on our products such as, RoHS certificates etc.
